Established in 2009, San Luis 91��Ƭ�� Car Free is a cooperative partnership between the San Luis 91��Ƭ�� County Air Pollution Control District and the Central Coast Clean Cities Coalition. Promoting cleaner air and a healthier planet, SLO Car Free offers tools for visitors so you can easily travel to San Luis 91��Ƭ�� without a car.

The mission of SLO Car Free is “to preserve clean air, promote community and individual responsibility for air quality, and to promote economic and community well-being through encouraging car-free, care-free transportation to and around the San Luis 91��Ƭ�� area.” From lowering your carbon footprint to living a healthier life by walking rather than driving, there are endless reasons to travel car free. As a bonus, San Luis 91��Ƭ�� makes it easy for you through countless partnerships between SLO Car Free, local businesses and public transit authorities.

AMTRAK Discount

Traveling by train is quick and convenient when riding to and from San Luis 91��Ƭ�� County on the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner, Coast Starlight or the San Joaquin. When you book an Amtrak ticket through the SLO Car Free site, you can receive 20% off your ticket price simply for travelling car free.

Once you reach the San Luis 91��Ƭ�� Train Station, continue your car free trip and hop on the SLO Transit bus services on Route 5 or SLO RTA on Route 10 to reach different locations both in and outside of town.
